Autumn Another autumn night. The days grow shorter. Icy breezes, winter's messengers, Are a chill reminder of the cold to come. The glorious days of summer have long gone. Sitting alone, unheeded, Passing by me, familiar faces, leaving soon, And I fear I shall be left behind. Life does not easily forgive Those who do not easily change. Where will this journey lead? Only time will tell. And to those passing by, When you leave, over your shoulder look back, For I shall not be far behind.
